I'm here to tell you that God is not the author of doom and gloom. He is a God of Light: understanding, revelation, knowledge, answers, peace, and more. I just want you to know that if this describes your life, you can work with God to change everything negative in your life into something far more positive than you can begin to even think or imagine.
John 10:10 says, "The thief [satan-your enemy] cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." [emphasis mine] This verse clearly shows us who does all the destroying and who does all the blessing. Our enemy, satan, is active and present every day in all our lives. He's among us because the worldly system was given back to him when Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden. The worldly system is defined as beg, borrow, and steal, extra-marital relationships, hate, bitterness, murder, sleeping with your neighbor's wife, spiritual and physical death, disease, lack, and poverty of all kinds, and this list goes on and on. I hope you don't seriously think that God would leave us in such defeated conditions. Yet, many people live and believe that is exactly what happened. Listen to me when I tell you that God is a good God, he's only good - never bad, and he's good ALL THE TIME because that is exactly what God is. You can trust his word when it says He is Love. Let's see how God remedied these things in the following three scriptures. Matthew 12:40 says, "For as Jonas (this is Jonah from the story of Jonah and the whale) was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." Why do you suppose he was there? Matthew 16:19, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:... Revelation 1:18, "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Do you see now why he was in the heart of the earth? Jesus had to die like this so that sinless blood could take away from us the keys of death and hell in exchange for the keys of life-the keys of his kingdom. Right now, maybe you are saying that's great but how do I use this information. The answer to this is a really strong one. If you are not born again, there is absolutely nothing you can do about this. You have no power over this kind of darkness, this kind of evil. None of us do. None of us have the power to overcome anything negative in and of ourselves. Our only hope is found in believing in Jesus and all that he went through. Everything Jesus went through, from the being captured in Gethsemane, through the trial -being traded out for a murderer named Barabas, through the whipping post, through the crucifixion, even right on through those three days he spent in hell taking back the keys of life, having risen again after three days, and all the way back to his throne in glory, he did for you and me so that we could overcome, being more than conquerors. So, what do you do with this information? You simply believe in what the word tells you about this and ask Jesus into your heart so that you can begin to trade in those wilderness mentalities for God's Kingdom Realities such as I am the head, and not the tail, I am above and not beneath, I am more than a conqueror, I'm not poor anymore, I'm alive-I'm alive-I'm alive in Jesus, AMEN!!! You work with God by simply believing that he has a plan taylor-made just for you and you open your spirit [like unbuttoning your jacket and pulling it wide open] to him to usher in that glorious plan he has for you. Begin to change your confession from doubt to victory, get in his word and get to know the nature of God, learn to see things his way by taking on the fruit of the spirit. Just don't stop. For more blessings reference Deuteronomy 28:1-14, Matthew chapters 5, 6, and 7, read the whole book of Romans, then Hebrews chapter 11. You spend enough time in the word of God you'll soon recognize a power and authority that is being built up in you that will boldly defy the odds and cause your life to be described as 2 Corinthians 2:14 which says, "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place." This authority will flow out of your mouth like John 7:38 explains: "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." Take your authority, Jesus freely and willingly gives this to you, so that you can reign with him (see Ephesians 2:6) to effect his covenant of blessing - not curses- in your life. As a last note, trust me, it is well worth the effort you put into this. In other words, the degree to which you put into God, is the minimum degree to which God will return things back to you. You must remember that everything we give to God, he presses it down, shakes it together, and returns it to us overflowing. Let's close by going back to John 10:10. That word abundantly means to the full, until it overflows. If you have never received Jesus in your heart, please visit our prayer page where you can learn more about Jesus and ask him into your heart so that you can begin to live a better life in Him. Please leave me a comment if this helped you at all. We've all been in those rotten places in life - no condemnation here. We're here to help you get up out of darkness and walk in God's light. Blessings be unto you, La Donna God is not a weak God. No other god sent their son to die on a cross to remove the sins of his people One need only look around and see the chaos of our modern times. These days are marked by governments the world over ignoring the only true and living God.
We see and hear other religions out there that think it's okay to go around and blow things up, to take away a beautiful life from a beautiful child (I'm of the opinion that every child is beautiful) and make them grow up to hate and to kill, and they have no regard for the women that bring them children. Can you imagine living under a government that says it's okay to rape women and our daughters? Can you imagine them stealing your sons from you and turn them into murderers? And they call us horrors, prostitutes because we do not worship their god or honor their ways. Their way is to bully themselves into the lives of others demanding folks worship their God. Am I the only one, or does anybody out there see how evil this really is? Do you see any true love or real peace about thinking and living this way? I certainly don't. I would never want to worship some god that has absolutely no regard for human, plant, and animal life. What's worse is our government here in the United States has allowed some other religions to come in and make their laws applicable - here on our God given soil. In that single act alone, this government has wiped out all the blood that was shed for this country to honor the only real God, they have forgotten what peace and liberty is all about. They have decided that honoring God is no longer a necessary thing to live a good life. I'm here to declare to you today that there is only one God of real, true, peace and love and this God is the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob. Our God is one of peace, mercy, and love everlasting. In John 14:6 we read, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." The path that God would have us on focuses on the things we read from Isaiah 26:3 and from Philippians 4:8. Isaiah 26: 3 reads, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Philippians 4:8 reads, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Your choices to not honor God are recorded daily so that God can make sure you get what you wanted regarding both your life here on earth and throughout all eternity. What choice are you making today? I choose to love, honor, and worship this God of Abraham - He is My God. My savior Jesus is the ONLY WAY, TRUTH, AND LIFE for me and my family. To learn more about this God I serve, read my article on Getting to Know Jesus here. If you pray and ask God to forgive you of all sin and disobedience, and ask Jesus to come into your life, and to be filled with God's precious and Holy Spirit, please let us know. We want to help you get off to a good start in your new life (walk) of faith in this awesome God. He loves you and so do we! Listen, we all have trials and tribulations. But it's how you deal with those situations that makes you victorious. Jesus said he has overcome the wickedness of this world and that means that through Him [because we believe in Him, he gives us the strength to overcome], we can choose to not walk in the way of wickedness, evil, bitterness, hatred, and unforgiveness. There is power in the blood of Jesus to help you have a choice to not participate in the evil things of this world. This power in the blood of Jesus brings you the God given ability to not sin against God, to not speak and do hurtful things to others, to live a life that is successful with no sorrow added. This power in the blood of Jesus has caused those of us that believe to overcome death, hell, and the grave. This power in the blood of Jesus has caused those of us who believe to be translated out of the kingdom of darkness [satan's domain-being ruled and governed by it] into God's marvelous light [strength, understanding, wisdom, peace, love and joy in the Holy Ghost and so much more]. This God is the real God. This God is not weak, because no other god out there sent his son to die on a cross for the sins of his people. Choose God today. In His Service, La Donna the blessings of God are for the taking and you take it by faith, believing that it is real and that it is for you. As part of my ever growing blog category, Salvation, I just want to welcome you to the Kingdom of God and introduce you to this wonderful kingdom and hopefully you will get a good picture of this God I choose to serve.
First, if you've never asked Jesus into your heart, please read my article here on what salvation is. In my post, the Lordship of Jesus 2, I talked about how Gods blessings can basically be summed up into four categories. 1. Salvation for you and your family 2. Family well being 3. Healing for our bodies 4. Prosperity in every area of life including our finances. Read the first of those two posts, The Lordship of Jesus here. This God I serve, desires to meet your needs in every one of these areas. And yes, He's far more capable than you and I will ever know in this lifetime. I can tell you this is true because I experience this every day in my life. I encourage you this week to take some time getting to know this God. He's the only God that will ever love you unconditionally and despite your failures, will with His long arm of grace and mercy, reach right down where you are, scoop you up, dust the filth and debris of sin, shame, guilt, and failure off of you and help you to regain your composure so that you can be free. He will still meet your needs. No other god does this. None! I've also written an article called Such is the Kingdom and it will give you more information about living in God's kingdom. That and a few other articles are in our Word Study Center, be sure to stop by there. What I mainly want to tell you about in this post is that the blessings of God are for the taking, and you take it by faith believing it is real in the deepest part of your heart and believe that it is for you. And to obtain those blessings, you must have faith in God. A faith that says this is real and very true. That kind of faith can only come by hearing (or reading) what the word of God says about the need you have. And using your faith is what pleases God the most. Once you believe in Jesus and ask Him and the Holy Spirit to come into your heart and into your life, you have a legal right to everything this kingdom offers. The second thing I want to tell you is that in obtaining the things of God you must understand that for the most part, your part is simply trusting God to make it happen. If He needs you to do anything, He'll let you know. When He does, make sure you are obedient, don't neglect His direction in your life because it ultimately affects others. There is so much to learn about the things of God and His kingdom, even about His great plan for your life; yes He has a wonderful plan for you, see Jeremiah 29:11. We are here to help you get started and to help keep you growing in your faith and knowledge of this dear Savior. Start today by getting an understanding of what salvation is, ask Jesus into your heart, then visit us everyday to keep learning more. God's truths will make you free. Believing in and trusting God will add a divine zest, a heavenly breath of life to this life you live. By the way, believing is the verb tense of the word faith. In other words, faith is simply believing in what God says and act on it when He needs you to. In some cases it will require you to give up what you know or what you were taught to believe. But making that exchange of beliefs is well worth the effort of letting go of old stuff, it will make you free, and it will be the best thing you have ever done for yourself. If you need a bible, please contact us, we'll get one out to you for free. Stay tuned because I'm sure the Lord will have me post more things about HIs Kingdom and how you can become a citizen of it and partake of all His blessings. As always, if you have any questions, please let us know. And be sure to drop us a comment below. In His Service, La Donna But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. 2nd Peter 3: 18. This morning as I was doing some bible study, I was thinking about the folks that just don't know how to get started with God or His word. I can see them standing at a threshold of a sort and stopping right there because they just don't know what to do, what to say, where to go for help and in the end, if they don't get this kind of help, the enemy will keep that person defeated not only in salvation but in every other area of life, too. Is this you? Are you standing at such a door and want to get in on the things of God but don't know what to do or what to think about it? Do you feel left out or not good enough? Have you ever thought that you want to read the bible but don't know where to begin? If you answered yes, then my friend, please keep reading. There is a necessary beginning. You must realize that you need Jesus in your heart first and foremost. Without Jesus in your heart, He can not send you the Holy Ghost which will then guide you into all truth. I've written an article to help you understand salvation. You can read it here. If you have never told God that you believe in Jesus and that you want Him in your heart, please stop and go read that article. Ask Jesus to come into your heart, into your life then come back here. That article includes a little prayer to help you ask Jesus into your heart and life. From this point on, I'm going to assume you have asked Jesus into your heart but you're not getting anywhere. You still don't know what to do. For a structured approach, let's talk. Get a bible. I prefer King James but I also like using the Amplified. You might want to consider the American Standard Version. You want to be prepared so get a pen / pencil and a notepad. I personally use a planner I purchased from Mardels Christian book store and I use stickers from like the Happy Planner. Most any Wal-Mart will carry these now. If you prefer, use your pc. Every morning, I get by myself to study the word of God. I may start off on one thing and if God needs me to focus on something else, He'll show me. He'll do the same for you. I spend a little time praying. Again, I'll start off praying over something but if God needs me to pray over another situation or person, He'll show me. Yes, He'll do the same for you. Let me throw this in here. Dismiss all thoughts that overwhelm you about sorting out all the things of the bible. Dismiss thoughts that you'll never be able to get through all of it. When you feel overwhelmed about anything with God or His word, dismiss it. Got it? Why? Because in this life time, we will never exhaust the knowledge of God. Get it set in your mind that you will make it your life's work to study the word of God and don't worry about how little you know. Besides, God wants us in His word, and His presence every day. Getting in His word is how you spend time with God. It's how you get to know Him, understand Him, and love Him. It's how you got to know your friends or if you are married, spending time with him or her is how you got to know them well enough to say yes. You get to know God and understand Him by simply reading His word. The reason I had you study the article about salvation is for this reason right here. Romans 8:5 - 6 says: 5) For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6) For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. What this is saying to you and me is that we cannot understand the things of God without being Spiritually minded. Whatever state of being your heart is in, that's the things to which you'll attend, that's what you'll understand and believe in the most. Now, to continue, I post new studies each Monday. You can join me right here. Spend the week going over the scriptures in each post. Don't forget to ask God to join you and to open your heart to new truths each time you sit down to study His word. Once you have asked Jesus into your heart, ask for the Holy Spirit to come into your heart to bring illumination of God's word. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what you need to study. Then listen to your heart, not your head because you head will tell you a million other things you need to attend to. I'll close out with this note. Most main line denominations would have you stop at salvation. Let's read 2 Peter 3: 18 "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen" If we were supposed to stop at salvation, why would God give us an invitation, actually this is a commandment, to grow in grace and knowledge? If we are supposed to stop at salvation, the scriptures would have to read quite differently. It would have to say to grow in your knowledge of salvation and stop. Or it might would have said grow in your knowledge up to the point of salvation. There is so much to learn about God, His Kingdom, and He invites you to learn as much as you can and want to. I'll let you look this one up, Romans 15: 13. I'm here to answer any question you might have regarding your studies. Don't be afraid to ask. Just contact me, and after I've prayed I'll get back with you asap. Feel free to read other posts that I have. Visit the Word Study Center and by all means, check out my husbands blogs, especially if you are a man reading this. God has given him some awesome revelations about how to relate life to fishing and being outdoors, relating football positions to life, and so much more. Just remember, you don't have to wing this alone. Once you ask God to come into your heart, you will never be alone another day of your life. You'll never be without help for any situation you face because God will minister to you. And we are here for you, too. La Donna P.S. If you have just read this post and would be interested in a free mini course on salvation/faith walk with God to get you going, drop us a line. We'd love to hear from you. In His Service, La Donna |
