To Whom Much is Given

6/12/2022

Jesus took the time to hang on a cross for us, the least we can do is give him our devoted love and attention.

Pictured left is my personal growing collection of devotionals.  Do you use devotionals for your personal time with God? I certainly do. I would be so lost without my devo's. I know that sounds silly, but many churches only hold church on Sunday morning.  That is not okay.  So, what do you do to stay in the word of God during the week?  I mean, bad things can happen on any day of the week, so how are you arming yourself against an enemy that would love to take you and your family out?
Devo's offer encouragement for many situations, it helps to keep your spiritual whistle wet with many scriptures to ponder throughout the day, and it helps you to get the word of God down in your spirit, and it's a great way to consider different views about certain scriptures-this helps you to grow in what you know.
I really enjoy my devo's. One that I have that is not pictured here is actually a spiral bound devo journal that offers space to write notes and thoughts. I use my devo's nearly every day, and I make time to study God's word and I especially make time to hear form God. After all, Jesus took the time to hang on a cross for us, the least we can do is give him our devoted love and attention.
Matthew 25:29 says, "To everyone who has shall more be given, and he shall have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away." This references the passage in Matthew 25: 14-30. This passage basically explains that to whom much is given, much is required.
I'd hate for my devo's to be taken away. I'd hate to lose the word of God in me that I've spent years on developing and growing in me, AMEN? Amen!!!
I want more of the word of God, so that's why I use this blog to share an encouraging word to help you take up your rightful place in Jesus, ref Eph 2:6.  I use this blog to help keep my readers encouraged, hopeful, and to help you connect with God, because ultimately, that's where your strength and power will come from when your day grows dark, and you grow weary.
Please leave me a comment or contact me if you need prayer or help in the things of God.
And don't forget to join our Lifestyle & Dinner group on Facebook. Be sure to answer the questions. Hope to see you there.
Alive in Him,
La Donna
