I would like to follow up on my last article on healing by talking about some things that can hinder you from being healed. The primary enemy to healing is doubt and unbelief. Doubt and unbelief are opposing forces to faith. If your doubt and unbelief outweigh your faith then nothing is going to happen for you. That’s true in believing for anything from the Lord.
In Matthew 13 Jesus was ministering in his own home town and it says in verse 58, “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” We are not talking about a mere man but Jesus, God in the flesh. If he could do no mighty works because of unbelief, what makes you think you can get anything if you are filled with unbelief? Now, there are many doubts and vast amounts of unbeliefs, but I want to talk about one special doubt that affects most Christians –UNDESERVING! Many people have a hard time receiving anything from the Lord because they feel too undeserving. Guess what? No one deserves anything from the Lord. From the best to the worst, no one deserves what the Lord has done. So, get over it, put that behind you because Grace was designed for the undeserving! We don’t get anything because we deserve it. We get it because it is ALL a gift, courtesy of God’s Grace. As a matter of fact, the more undeserving you are-the greater the grace of God is for you. Romans 5:20. The grace for healing is the same as the grace for salvation; for by grace are you saved by faith. Remember the word grace means God’s gracious love gifts, and the word save-sozo, means saved, healed, made whole, delivered and prospered. So, if you feel undeserving you are right, but rejoice because that makes you a prime candidate for everything Jesus did to bring salvation, healing, wholeness, deliverance and prosperity. Now, that brings me back to the last article I wrote on how to activate the things of God in your life. Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart and you shall be sozo. Speak to your problem the answers provided by our Lord and Savior. At this time do not allow any thoughts of undeserving to even be considered. Dismiss those thoughts vehemently and immediately. John 5:24 says, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but IS passed from death unto life.” Death includes sickness, disease, poverty, un-wholesomeness while life includes ALL the promises of God which includes healing. What you have done or not done in your life IS NOT the issue. What Jesus has done and what you believe about it IS the issue. Get over you and concentrate on Jesus and what He FREELY gave to you. Speak it, believe it, receive it! If you continue with this, you will see results. Just remember, if we do Bible things in Bible ways, we get Bible results, amen? Amen! Blessings, Doc
